TSG Previous Projects

The Surfside Group specializes in implementing sales and marketing best practices. Our experience combined with our partner network allows us to do so for companies of all sizes and within various industries.  Here are a few examples of our projects:

A large commercial electrical contractor needed a better way to manage their previous client data and track their opportunity pipeline – specifically for their service department. TSG installed a networked customer relationship management (CRM) system and trained their users and administrators on the best ways to use the system for their business. We simultaneously conducted an initial phone sales blitz to their target markets and created a sequence of follow up activities within the CRM. TSG also interviewed current and former clients and wrote testimonial letters on their behalf.

A chemical manufacturer wanted to update their online presence and develop a new market niche. TSG was the project manager for the web development and wrote the website copy. TSG also implemented a robust customer database/auto responder system to deliver marketing messages at pre-scheduled times. TSG developed several collateral pieces for direct marketing and trade shows and also designed advertisements and wrote articles for submission to industry publications.  TSG also wrote the business plan for the new market and introduced the manufacturer to a funding source capable of providing the capital to finance the purchase of raw materials when large purchase orders were secured from several Fortune 500 accounts.

A financial services and succession planning firm wanted to improve their marketing and sales efforts. Suzanne Foley obtained her Series 7 license in order to write business for the firm. She created a new direction for the firm to pursue business opportunities by joining targeted industry professional associations. The firm was then able to present educational workshops at association events, conferences, and meetings where business owners who needed information about succession planning and exit strategies would be in attendance. Suzanne created and delivered several presentations for these audiences along with workshop materials. Suzanne also wrote several articles for various publications. During this project, Suzanne worked on several business ownership transfers including M&A, selling to family members and/or employees, Employee Stock Ownership Plans, and other similar deals.

A CPA firm wanted to grow their client list. The Surfside Group developed a direct sales strategy, wrote the scripts and follow up sequence, and hired the correct inside sales professional to call business owners in the CPA’s target markets to determine a level of interest and schedule introductory appointments for the partners. TSG was also the project manager for the new website development.

A small architectural drawing firm wanted to find new business opportunities. TSG obtained data that in effect multiplied their existing database tenfold. TSG then installed a simple CRM system and created the sales and marketing strategy and processes, tested them, and then trained a new hire on how best to use them.

A training company needed a project manager to overhaul their entire sales and marketing process. They needed a better way to market to their large database of clients and prospects. TSG implemented a robust system that combined CRM/auto-responder/e-commerce/accounting system and was directly linked to their newly developed website (project management also provided by TSG). The system is being used to send educational and marketing information to prospects and clients on a periodic basis so that when they are ready for more training, they can easily remember which company has been staying in contact and providing value. TSG also recruited, interviewed and advised the client on hiring new inside sales professionals to make introductory phone calls to prospects, send training course information to them, and enter them into marketing sequences within the automatic follow-up system. TSG interviewed previous training course attendees and wrote testimonial letters on their behalf.
